Yesterday afternoon some of the girls on our floor, Jenna, and I figured out the bus system and took the bus to see Twilight at the movie theater across town. Town's not huge but it's big enough that it would be a long walk or a nice bike ride. We opted for the bus because it had been threatening to rain all day (like that's anything new).
We saw the movie (I'm a fan) and then went back outside to catch the bus back. We've missed it by five minutes and the next one doesn't come for another 50 minutes. So we get food to kill time. It's a little unclear why we just don't start walking now. It would take more time to wait for the bus and take that home then it would to walk home at this point. We get back to the bus stop 40 minutes later (just to be on the safe side) and wait and wait and wait. By this time it's dark and gotten colder. and the bus is nowhere in site. We wait 35 mins having debates every 5 minutes if we should walking but somehow convincing ourselves that, "no, it's just around the corner." It's not until an hour and a half since we got out the movie that we decide to walk home. After about half an hour of walking we run into a Borders. Jenna and I get sidetracked.
We then spent the next 3.5 hours sitting in Borders reading. My friend Emily, the cross country runner, showed up and the three of sat in a line leaning against some far back corner shelf and read our respective books. It was a nice salvage of the night.
Oh and the Bevs won! One more game then Rose Bowl. (knock on wood)
