TINY LITTLE BLESSING
There's something about being out on water for the day, getting splashed and sunburned that can't really be explained. And that day that just seemed dim and missing so much doesn't seem so bad any more. You call a friend, finish a well-written paper, respond to an email, make plans to call your mother, listen to a sermon about God's good kisses, wash your face, and climb into bed with a homemade quilt on top. And really self-pity and depression can't creep into those prayers.
