AWE THAT LINGERS

The air here tastes good. It's one of the first things I noticed walking around the deserted campus on Labor Day with Dad. It's totally different from Colorado or Chicago air.

Chicago air I can't taste. No matter how hard I try, I can't taste it. It's too stale or polluted. The only time I can even smell it is when it's raining.

Colorado air hits your nostrils and BAM, you not only smell it but taste it instantly. Anyone whether they're trying or not will taste it. It's sweet and refreshing but at the same time has this wild ancient hint to it that makes you feel in awe.

Oregon, or more specifically Corvallis air, is subtle. I have first have to notice the wind or the lighting and then take a deep breathe. The air rushes into my lungs and it's not until it's all the way in do I notice the crisp sweetness to it. It's like an after taste, lingering in my lungs not on my tongue.
