RIP BUDDY

It's a sad day today.

Buddy, my computer, is dead. This is entirely my fault in every way. Our bunkhouse porch is up a flight of stairs (the kitchen loading dock is below us) and I was sitting on our hammock on the porch with Buddy on the edge waiting for me to bend over and pick him up. I spin around not thinking and accidentally kick Buddy and he goes tumbling down the flight of stairs. I was afraid that the screen would break off or something but he looks good as new just wouldn't turn on. So I'm on Jordan's computer. And I'm sorry Jordan but this computer isn't red or even a Dell, it's a Toshiba. OH well. Beggars can't be choosers.

You might also be asking why I'm not at work at the moment. Well that's because I'm still freaking sick! I hate hate hate being sick. waaaaay to much idle time and you can see/hear everyone having fun and I'm stuck in bed freezing even with 10 blankets on and not being able to sleep because my own coughing wakes me up. yuck.

On a happy note I've discovered how to work out/release all my restless energy.
I climb mountains.
It's amazing. I might start on a trail but then I just go off. The best part is when I have to scramble over boulders, hanging by my arms while I find feet holes or running as fast as I can up a flat wall and if I don't run fast enough I just slide down. and then I get to the top and I just stand there almost literally in the clouds and all I can do is laugh out loud for pure joy.
I can only describe it as amazing.
JD and Mike have some climbing gear so some day when we all have the same day off we'll go actual rock climbing. Hopefully up Sheep's Rock which reminds me of a smaller less intimidating version of Yosemite's Half Dome.

I think the whole going off the path bit might be one of those things that "you shouldn't tell your parents" Sounds amazing though. I need to tell you about my erging today at some point. Remind me. It was amazing.

parents have already called to clarify that I should never ever do anything stupid like go off the trail by yourself and scramble up rocks. but don't worry I don't do it by myself, I go with other people. Normally at least two others and I have my radio with me that connects me back to the ranch.
